Stain Professor  (Errol Brouchoud)

Errol has spent the past decade staining and painting custom, wood and metal roll-up garage doors in California (San Diego to San Francisco) Arizona and elsewhere in the South West (see Photos page).

As he gained both knowledge and experience in this very specialized craft, he came to understand the importance of
Product Content as the primary element in long-term, successful staining of these expensive elements of fine homes. (Absolutely no urethane or varnish!)

Note: see Carriage House Doors for custom painting of metal doors.

With his son, daughter and seven grandchildren residing in Southern Utah (Cedar City & LaVerkin), Errol splits his time (about 50/50) between his 1938 brick Bungalow (La Casita de Ladrillo) in Panguitch and his residence in San Diego.

His son (LaVerkin) invites him to stay with his family whenever staining work brings him south to the Cedar City, St George, Mesquite area.

Errol enjoys boating & fishing, especially Lake Powell and, as often as possible, with family.

The oldest of the grandchildren, Wes, has served in Iraq with the Triple Deuce, the next one down, Andy, graduated  high school (2007) and is now enrolled in welding school.

Chris (LaVerkin) is also interested in becoming a welder and is gaining valuable experience as he and his Dad are restoring a 1970 Cougar Eliminator!  Kolton (Filmore) is in his 4th year of high school. The youngest, twins Matt & John, age ten, love fishing and hunting!

The only granddaughter, Taryn (Errol calls her DoodleBug), is in her 4th year of high School (Cedar City) and having transfered from the Panguitch high school is making many new friends

Errol has been working with several young people to eventually take over his staining work. At least two of his grandchildren have worked directly with him at client's residences.

He always looks forward to working with manufacturers, architects, contractors and homeowners as the decision is made to invest in wood garage doors.

His phones (CA & UT) are always "open" and Information Calls are welcomed at any time!
